PVC film is mainly used in the fields of building decoration, packaging, agriculture, and daily necessities, among which the building materials industry accounts for the largest share, about 60%.
Core Application Areas
Building Decoration: Essentially vacuum-formed film, used for the surface packaging of panels, also known as decorative film or adhesive film, widely applied in floors, ceilings, and outdoor advertising; it is available in rich colors and is wear-resistant.
Packaging Materials: Includes PVC cling film and heat shrink film. The former is used for wrapping fresh fruits and vegetables in supermarkets, and the latter is used for beverage bottle labels and hardware/electrical packaging, with strong adaptability.
Other Common Uses
Agricultural Production: Used as external covering materials for greenhouses and small to medium-sized sheds, featuring heat retention, good light transmission, flexibility, and easy shaping; some also have anti-aging properties.
Industrial and Daily Use: In the electrical field, commonly used as electrical adhesive tape and pipeline tape; daily items include raincoats, tablecloths, toys, swimming rings, and inflatable products.
Usage Precautions
Food Safety: PVC cling film has certain impacts on human health and is not suitable for holding oily foods or heating at high temperatures; it must meet national standards and is mostly used in the fresh food section of supermarkets.
Physical Properties: The material is pale yellow and semi-transparent, has poor heat resistance, releases hydrogen chloride gas when burned, and should be recycled after disposal to reduce pollution.
